2013... what a year!

2013 NEWS at a glance:
 
December 2013: The Little Match Girl
Frank performed in his latest collaboration with Arthur Pita, a dance theatre adaptation after Hans Christian Andersen, commissioned as the Christmas show for the Jerwood Dance House in Ipswich.
 
November 2013: Urban Folk Quartet final tour with Frank
Frank's last tour with the acclaimed quartet he co-founded ended in style at St. George's, Bristol. Don't worry, the UFQ are set to continue, with banjo virtuoso Dan Walsh replacing Frank.
 
October 2013: UFQ LIVE II album launch
The autumn tour saw the release of the UFQ's fourth album, LIVE II, recorded earlier this year across 2 nights in packed, sweaty small venues in Birmingham and London.
 
September 2013:The Metamorphosis in NEW YORK CITY
After 2 sell out runs at the Linbury Theatre, Royal Opera House, Arthur Pita's dance theatre adaptation of Kafka's novella sold out 2 weeks at the Joyce Theatre, 8th Ave, NYC, 17-29th September 2013. Frank performed his score live each night.
 
August 2013: Urban Folk Quartet festival tour
Wow... fantastic crowds this summer! Thank you to Sion (Switzerland), Locarno (Switzerland), Tatihou (France), Purbeck (UK), and Green Man (UK)!
 
August 2013: Proms at the Royal Albert Hall
Frank performed with Cerys Matthews and the London Sinfonietta at the BBC 6Music late night prom on Monday 12th August, also in the line up are the Stranglers, Laura Marling, and pieces by Berio, Varese, Martland. Broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and Radio 6Music.
 
July 2013: HAG
Frank was commissioned to compose and sound design a new play by The Wrong Crowd. The tour included the Purcell Room at London's Southbank Centre; Latitude Festival; Edinburgh Fringe Festival; Soho Theatre, London; Old Vic, Bristol; and The Drum, Plymouth.
 
March 2013: The Metamorphosis is filmed for Sky Arts 
During a sell out run at the Linbury Theatre, Royal Opera House, Sky Arts filmed a live performance and the film is currently also being shown regularly on Sky Arts 2. To watch a sneak preview click here!
 
February 2013: I Was A Rat
Birmingham Rep commissioned Frank to write a score for their centenery production - an adaptation of Philip Pullman's brilliant novel. The production toured nationally from Feb – June 2013 and received great reviews.
