THE WIND at The Royal Opera House

Arthur Pita's new work for The Royal Ballet is based on Dorothy Scarborough’s classic novel and the silent film it inspired. The ballet comes with a new score by  Frank, orchestrated by the fabulous Christopher Austin. Frank will be performing with the orchestra on slide guitar, electric violin and sound design. The ballet runs from 6th-17th November on the Main Stage at the Royal Opera House.

Great reviews for new Theatre Rites show...

Open til 16th July, The Welcoming Party has attracted great reviews at Manchester International Festival...

"This is, no two ways about it, an astonishing piece of theatre: a kids' show that handles immigration, both as lived experience and as bureaucratic system, with such nuance and sophistication that it teaches adults a thing or two as well." - What'sOnStage

"Frank Moon’s sound composition creates an unsettling atmosphere and Jamaal Burkmar’s choreography expresses the agony of uncertainty and waiting. Simon Daw’s design, with its constant images of dehumanising cages, makes the most of the venue, which was once the world’s first railway warehouse...  This is all pretty grown-up stuff, and is done with the rackety swagger and invention that we’ve come to expect from Theatre-Rites, a company making shows for children that is right at the forefront of contemporary British theatre practice." ★★★★ - The Guardian

"Why can’t all interactive, site-specific theatre be like The Welcoming Party? Theatre-Rites’ first show for Manchester International Festival is beautiful, clever, creative, chilling and thought-provoking theatre. Aimed at family audiences but with absolutely no sugar coating of the subject matter: what it means to be a refugee." ★★★★★ - British Theatre Guide

Frank is confirmed to produce the sound score for Theatre Rites' exciting new production, The Welcoming Party. Blending installation, music, puppetry and dance, this immersive theatre experience will take place in a warehouse on the grounds of the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry in July 2017.

SALOME premieres at San Francisco Ballet

SALOME, with choreography by Arthur Pita, design by Yann Seabra and a full orchestral score by Frank, has just received it's world premiere at San Francisco Ballet.

"Frank Moon’s atmospheric and percussive original score lays a filmic foundation from which everything springs." - ★★★★★ DanceTabs

"Moody, dramatic score" - ★★★★ Bachtrack

"A convincing melodramatic score" - San Francisco Chronicle
